Once upon a time, people of this "laid-back" little town, lazing in the tropics, took their time to book for special events. Not any more! Last year's Low Isles exhibition, as well as a number of brilliant theatrical productions staged at the Clink Theatre (most recently Jack Heywood's "Too Good to be True"), have sold out well in advance, with disappointed patrons being turned away. Now, we want you to come to the gala-cocktail-party-of-the-year at the iconic Sugar Wharf, we want you to have the best time and to enjoy all that the artistic community can offer. We would hate to turn you away. So PLEASE book now! Tickets are ridiculously inexpensive and fantastic value, which is why we hope that you may also be able to donate a small amount to help to cover our considerable expenses. Any surplus funds at the end of the festival will go straight into the Go Troppo Arts Festival fund for 2009 to help this fledgling event grow from strength to strength.
Early-bird specials are only $25 and available from Candlenut Gallery in Macrossan Street and Quicksilver Connections in the Marina. Cash only, please. If you can't get to one of those outlets you may post your cheque to Go Troppo Arts Festival PO Box 925 Port Douglas 4877, to arrive before October 14 or book online below. Online bookings incur a small charge of $2.
