Exhibitions are highlights of the Go Troppo Arts Festival 2009.
Exhibitions play a vital part in the structure of Go Troppo Arts Festival 2009. This year, artists planning their exhibitions were asked to keep in mind the ideal of the golden mean or
golden spiral
, which also could apply to other creative endeavours, particularly music. The thought developed from discussions about Jack Heywood's play and accompanying exhibition which revolves around the nautilus shell. The festival opening on October 2 at the sugar wharf involves about a dozen experienced Port Douglas and Cairns artists, who will exhibit work especially prepared for the occasion. Titled
